Barclays - Small Business Banking The Client Barclays is a UK-based financial services group engaged primarily in banking, investment banking and investment management. In terms of market capitalization Barclays is one of the top ten largest banks in the world. A leading UK retail and business bank, it also provides coordinated global services to multinational corporations and financial institutions worldwide. Barclays has been involved in banking for over 300 years and operates in over 60 countries with over 76,200 employees. The Project Barclays was in the process of selecting an Internet agency to work with their Internet Production Centre to create a new Web site with its own 'look and feel', focusing exclusively on the needs of Small Business customers and incorporate some of the features and functionality of the existing business banking Web site. The new site would inform the 'visitor' of the latest Small Business information: providing them with information about products and services which are specific to their stage of business and banking needs, end to end fulfillment of information requests, and be seen as a 'gateway' to obtaining further essential Small Business information to National Business Organizational Web sites. StudioCinna was invited by an Internet agency to design a Flash presentation representing a Web site environment, to develop and contribute additional concepts that would enhance the presentation, to incorporate the Internet agency's strategic planning and hierarchical structure, core concepts, demonstrate the technologies that the agency could implement and to contribute during the presentation meeting at Barclays in Coventry. StudioCinna's Creative Director designed the interactive Web site presentation solution and enhanced the presentation and impressed the Barclays Pitching Panel with the introduction of 'The Small Business Owner' testimonial concept which was introduced within a 20-second flash movie which set the tone, communicated creative ideas back to the panel and was seamlessly highlighted throughout the Web site interactive. Teaming with the Internet agency's European Managing Director and the Seattle and London based teams, StudioCinna successfully executed the agency's strategic planning and hierarchical structure by designing the 'look and feel' of the Web site interactive, a functional navigation interface which separated the site into two main sections (Starting Up and Established & Growing) and by designing five page layouts containing text, images, forms and link examples, a functional information rollover interaction page, a Flash 'Ticker Tape' feed example containing UK interest and stock market rates, 'Barclays Small Business Advisor' Flash product ads and highlighted the 'Barclays Fast Track' site feature. The Flash presentation solution, authored by StudioCinna, successfully achieves the client's aims and the project brief by delivering an impressive design solution, which effectively demonstrates the wealth of Small Business information available, complements the Barclays brand with fresh and innovative 'look and feel', and delivers an interactive presentational tool which demonstrates the Internet agency's strategy and advanced technologies. |
