Retail Store Manager

Furthering prior retail and management experience, Catherine assumed the position of retail store manager within a nationwide fashion retailing and marketing conglomerate, and acquired complete responsibility for all aspects of managing the flagship retail store and sales associates.

Developing and implementing short and long-term strategy and action plans to achieve goals in support of the corporation's vision and business strategy, Catherine played a critical role by leading a positive team environment, coordinating and motivating sales associates toward meeting and exceeding all sales and profitability goals, enhancing customer confidence and satisfaction, and through effective store promotion, within the shopping mall and the local community, which generated store activity, strengthened the sense of responsibility and brand image.

Driving sales at the retail level, Catherine maintained and managed the sales floor ensuring each sales associate maintained expected operational and merchandising standards, store presentation, and retail coordination that supports brand consistency. Utilizing visual merchandising skills to drive sales through effective merchandise presentations, refreshing and creating new visual displays, merchandising stock through promotions and sales, handling shipments, controlling and taking stock inventories and enforcing loss prevention policies.

Catherine enhanced the customer experience by guiding the team of associates toward providing strong levels of customer service. Leading, motivating and maintaining team spirit with a focus on the corporate ethos, Catherine encouraged team work, created a store atmosphere that was friendly and welcoming, centered on building honest customer relationships, assisting and advising with the goal of helping each customer look their best and offering a no questions asked return system.
