Creative Director Assistant
Production Coordinator and Show Team Leader

Selected from over 500 applicants for the position as Creative Director Assistant this high pressure, fast-paced position involved multi-tasking numerous responsibilities and required exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

The position, with a leading international corporation which set the trends for its sector by staging an effective, spectacular theatric and commercially based stage productions drawing audiences of 300 upwards within the major cities nationally and internationally, required a strong sense of aesthetics principles, current and ongoing knowledge of styles, trends and products within the fashion and cosmetics industry, knowledge of the corporation's full product line, up-coming products in research and development as well as acquiring fluency in the visual language and history of each brand.

Participating in brainstorming meetings and pre-production, Catherine worked closely with the Creative Director to create vision, set trend, and achieve 'One Voice' branding throughout all seasonal communications, which included: international and national stage performances, team shows, educational seminars, videos, special events and photo shoots for all seasonal print usage.

Catherine was responsible for promoting the corporation and productions to national and international magazines and worldwide model agencies and independents through meetings, press releases and promotional gifts as well as promoting the model program in the community for research and development and educational seminars. Securing models for use in all seasonal communications by conducting small and large mass model calls and final call backs, viewing portfolios and participating in the model selections.

Researching current styles and trends, compiling a creative visual library, obtaining seasonal color standards, obtaining portfolios and samples, sourcing costumes and props, Catherine collaborated with stylists, designers and worked independently to realize the vision for the international and national stage performances. Setting a personal goal to never inform the Creative Director that something couldn't be achieved within the time frame, Catherine enjoyed the challenge and excelled at problem solving, resourcefulness and always making the impossible happen — often just days prior to a production or shoot.

Catherine participated in all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production, planning, coordinating and contributing in all seasonal communications and productions, traveling and working the shows as show team leader providing on-site coordination, ensuring each event ran smoothly, achieved the trend setting vision and successfully achieved the wow factor.
